Floyd is a great boxer. but Manny is a fighting machine. With bad intentions on knocking your A** out. I think Manny will beat Floyd on a TKO or decision.

If Mayweather comes down in weight to meet Pacquiao, Pac will knock him out quick. If Pac comes up, expect a great fight with Pac by TKO in 9.

You can not tell for sure, but they both have fought Hatten and DeLoyha, the Mayeheather fight were competitive, Manny destroyed both of them so my money is on Manny.

The Hatton results prove nothing. Hatton is not Mayweather. Mayweather is faster, more defensive and will be able to capitalize on Pacquiao’s wide , sloppy punches better than Hatton and win. Pacquiao is the p4p king today, because of Mayweather’s inactivity.

When I watch Manny train and fight on TV, I can’t help but laugh at how fast he is. Dude, Manny is insane and Money Mayweather doesn’t stand a chance whether the win would come in way of KO or decision for Pacman. The great sport of boxing is Pacman’s territory now.. he’s runnin hot dude.

To base your prediction solely on the fact that Pacquiao knocked Hatton out quicker is flawed reasoning. ITS ALL HYPE PEOPLE!!! Two good fights and now PACMAN is the greatest of all time? De la Hoya is old and Hatton just plain sucks (one of the most overrated boxers in history). Im not even going to speak on how good Mayweather is because WE ALL KNOW!!! Most people who favor Pacman is this matchup are only doing it because they DON”T LIKE MAYWEATHER.
I say put your money where your mouth is…….HATERS!!!!!!!!! Despite all the hype that pacman carries, if floyd were to beat him (which he will), people will STILL refuse to give him due credit. Some other fighter will come along and people will hype him up just like they are doing to manny. Floyd knows this…..and he exploits it. Its YOUR sheer hate for him that drives you to watch his fights, hoping and praying that he loses. More hate = more viewers= MORE MONEY!!!! If I were him, I wouldn’t change a thing!

mayweather would win and wouldnt be surprised if he won easily. please stop comparing the hatton and de la hoya fight. mayweather is an athlete and very skilled fighter…..the most skilled by far. pacman is a completely different fighter, so why are we surprised he won by knockouts and in earlier rounds. pacman will brawl and trade punches and no knock there but thats not mayweather. mayweather hits and dosent get hit and not many people have the skill set to do that. honestly, how can you compare the two. pacman has 3 LOSES (who cares when it was) mayweather 0 LOSES…mayweather is the pound for pound best.

IF they fight. I think Mayweather is one of the most complete fighters I’ve ever seen. Probably the best fighter in the last 10+ years. I hate his persona and would seriously enjoy seeing someone take him apart. But, objectively speaking, I don’t think Manny’s the guy to do it however much I’d like it.
Yeah he beat Hatton faster. So what? What’s his record? What’s Mayweather’s?
I think Pacquiao would get dropped in the late rounds. And, BTW, I WOULD pay to see this fight. If it happens, I hope I’m wrong.

Mayweather for sure! You can’t beat someone you can’t hit. Floyd isn’t going to go toe to toe trading licks like Manny did with Hatton and De la Hoya. Mayweather can protect himself and land the punches he needs. He is the best all around fighter in the sport. Manny is good but I don’t think he is as skilled in every aspect the way Floyd is. It will be a good fight either way! Can’t wait to see it.

Anyone who talks about their respective records obviously has no idea. Comparing previous opponents is also only useful to a limited extent because of different styles and circumstances. The best way is to compare their styles and strengths and weaknesses, but even then no one can be sure.
Based on their styles from previous bouts my personal guess is there are 3 possible scenarios.
(1) Pacquiao by unanimous decision – with Floyd’s defensive style, low punch rate and brittle hands, I can’t see him knocking out Pacquiao, especially if they fight at a catch weight below 147. With Pacquiao’s relentless attacks, precise combinations and power I can’t see him losing a decision if it goes to the scorecards.
(2) Pacquiao by KO in late rounds – Floyd’s defense will allow him to survive at least until the later rounds but if Manny wears him down and/or catches him with a big one it could be all over in a hurry.
(3) Mayweather by KO at any time – the reason why I don’t believe Floyd can win by decision is because I can’t see him successfully countering all of Manny’s hard speedy combos which will come at him all night long. He could block a lot of them but he’ll need to counter to score. But if Floyd imposes his size on Pacquiao and goes on the offensive then I think it’s possible for him to hurt Manny with a big counter and then finish him off. If he stays on the defensive all night then it’ll be less likely.
Most likely scenario for me is (1), but the one I want to see is (2), though I accept (3) is a distinct possibility.

There is no way to compare the two boxers. Mayweather selects his opponents to win. Pacquiao just fights. It is not surprising then that Mayweather has a perfect record and Pacquiao doesn’t. For Mayweather to affirm that he is the best, he has to beat Pacquiao. On the other hand, Pacquiao has to beat Mayweather to cement his greatness in the history of boxing. They have to face each other and this is one fight Mayweather would not have possibly considered ever before he retired. There is no escape now.
Mayweather will finally meet someone who can chase him around the ring and go toe-to-toe once they clash. He won’t have the option of counter-attack. He won’t catch Pacquiao at the punch. Pacquiao will just simply enter, release, dance away from the counter and repeat. Mayweather will be saying the same thing Pacquiao’s recent victims said, “I didn’t see it coming. He was just too fast.”
