What kind of desserts should I serve at a Seven Deadly Sins party?

I am in the process of putting together a Seven Deadly Sins themed surprise party for my sisters 15th birthday. Instead of a cake, I was looking to do something unique, maybe seven diffferent desserts. What are some ideas?

We are substituting Lust for Luxury because we need this to be family friendly- we have alot of religious family coming and alot of her really young friends. Thank you all very much!

I’m not sure what you could do for the ones like Sloth, Envy, or Wrath, but for Luxury, you could do something rich, like truffles or a fancy pastry. For Gluttony or Greed, you could try donuts or something that’s usually eaten in excess. Vanity could be something healthier like fruit (since vain people would want to preserve their figure). Good luck!

We call it dessert surprise and I make two different sorts of mousse au chocolat, very simple. 150 g chocolate and 200g cream. Heat the cream and put the chocolate in,until it is melt.Than put the bulk in the fridge, shake after one our, cause the chocolate may fell on the ground. After 24 hours you can mix it with your mixer as normal cream. You will get a delicious mousse, it depends on the chocolate, use white and dark. So you have two components. Additionaly I take a piece of cake, very small one, cheesecake or chocolate cake, so you have three pieces, two sorts of ice cream, so you have five , add a piece of fruit, star fruit or a strawberry and at last you take a chocolate candy/truffle and you have 7 different desserts on you dish. Decorate with a leaf of peppermint or a flower and powdered sugar… enjoy it

luxury – Chocolate cake with edible gold leaf
gluttony – A huge platter of cookies
greed – A chocolate fountain or chocolate fondu
sloth – Pound cake with sugared strawberries and whipped cream
wrath – Serve a platter of grapes (the grapes of wrath). It’d be nice to get some fruit in
envy – Goodie bags to take home (each with a different goodie)
pride – Make your own Ice Cream Sundae

I’m not really sure that you can somehow make the seven deadly sins family friendly for a 15-year-old’s birthday party. It would be a fantastic idea for an adult New Year’s Eve party, however. Besides, lust and luxury aren’t the same thing at all. Why not make a list of the seven virtues you most admire about her and name a dessert for each one? Celebrating her virtues would be a lot more fun than warning her about vices she may not have considered yet. Plus, thinking up seven wonderful things about her would be a fantastic boost…15 yo girls often need those.

I say make cupcakes and let the topping and designs speak for themselves. Include fillings of chocolate ganache in some of them. Use nozzles that create specific icing decorations. Use powdered sugar and special stencils on top to convey the meanings.

luxury – close to greed but I could see the gold edible flakes as a topper
gluttony – excess eating and drinking: credit card debit card
greed – desire to possess more than one needs- diamonds
sloth – laziness – tv set
wrath – divine retribution – lightning or a snake
envy – admiring something like a doctor or lawyer or scientific discovery
pride – something about achievement like graduation

    black forest cake
