Ok, so I have thought about this a lot. I was wondering, when we die, what happens to our soul, according to the Bible? So, if you can provide me with your thoughts, and back it up with Bible verses. I am just really intrested in this.
My belief is that when we die, our soul lingers here, until Jesus proclaims judgment day, at which time we ascend back to heaven.

According to the bible: you either go to heaven or hell.
According to the reality: you rot.
you rot away.
don’t listen to the bible its pure bull.

Ecc 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Hbr 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Hbr 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
no! not everyone goes to heaven the people who do bad deeds they go to hell and then the ppl who did good deeds they are the ppl who go to heaven!
Judgment. If you have been born again and washed in the blood of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King, then you will be fine. If not, and you end up at the white throne judgment…. things are not looking too good. Pain and suffering for all eternity in Hell would be your destination.
Good deeds won’t get you into heaven. Only Jesus will get you into heaven.
If you believe in Jesus as your savior you go to heaven
“I am the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

If you don’t, you go to hell for an eternity.
If hell isn’t real, Jesus was the most deceived man in all of history. (IT IS REAL)
They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,

Those 2 links explain what happens after we die. There are many verses and a lot of information but it should give you your answer. It’s a very good site and has many good questions about it.
We apparently go to a place called Sheol
The bible talks about the “saving of the soul”. I found recently through studying the bible that the word soul is the same word for life. Not all the words for “life” are soul, just some. You need a concordance to see which ones are. A good bible program with a concordance with it is called http://www.blueletterbible.org. But as I was saying we are suppose to be saving our soul and its not from spiritual death. But you have to study the scriptures and figure it out. I will give you a hint, John chapter 6, read it, and its not talking about spiritual things but the physical, people assume and read things into the bible which arent there. As someone told let the bible interpret the bible, we cannot read things into things.
the Bible clearly defines death 53 times, why is there so much confusion here??? we “are” the soul whilst alive, this immortal soul doctrine is of satanic nature and was adopted into catholicism long ago. Death: asleep and knowing Nothing!!! Ecc. 9:5, Heaven nor hell/hades is Immediate! if they were, there’d be NO reason for the 2nd Coming, would there? The righteous in Christ recieve Eternal LIFE, the wicked do not recieve eternal “life” by burnin forever n’ ever n’ ever, they are destroyed, they recieve ETERNAL DEATH, eternal punish”ment” NOT eternal punish”ing”, so stop saying it says otherwise in the Bible because it doesn’t, you are simply repeating lika a parrot what you hear…Please Seek the Truth as He commands , lest ye be decieved…what do you think that warning means??? God Bless and Keep You
if you are lost then you go into the grave and when judgment day come then you will be raised to apear at the creat white throne and be judged. if you are in christ when you die absent from the body present wit the lord
When we die we will be either going to heaven or hell according to the deeds we have done while living in this world. Read New testament to know more http://Dailydevotions.me
