Should voting be according to how much taxes you pay?

Rich people should be given more votes, since they contribute more revenue to the government. Kind of like a company, where the shareholders vote according to how much stock they own. This would help eliminate entitlement programs and motivate the poor to work harder and be more successful.

It should be like Jefferson wanted it…. ONLY the “property owners” would have a right to vote.

If you don’t “own property”… you don’t have a vested interest in the country. If you don’t have a vested interest, then you’re wielding the power to vote like a 6 year old who found his fathers loaded pistol.

LOL! No. This would be unconstitutional and unfair.

hey heres an idea lets just call it usa incorporated. or we can take peoples rights away because we have more money, why stop there? lets do it to the whole world? how about we invade places with things we want and then we take it, holly cow what a new idea, its not like it hasn’t been done since the dawn of man… grow up dude, read the constitution and understand human and civil rights, no you cannot pay for votes. they pay more takes because they have more money and taxes are based on a percentage, that is the way it is. stop griping about it.

I can see why you would want a voting system as such. However, this is because of a lot of unnecessary things we need to vote on these days, that is the government is getting into issues that it should not be getting into, like welfare, healthcare, etc. If we follow the constitution and limit government only into areas permitted it, then you wouldn’t want such a voting system, but rather a one man one vote system.

    No thanks to that one.

However, it wouldn’t break my heart if voting and public office were restricted to Honorably Discharged Veterans, given that they took a lifelong oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.

Actualy, it already is that way.

The common man casts a vote, but the lobbyists (rich men) tell the politicians which laws to write.

Which do you think is of more importance; WHO is in office, or WHICH laws get passed?

Voting is simply a means of keeping you busy with an ILLUSION of a choice.

The REAL game is being played behind closed doors, at tables OVERFLOWING with “contributions”.
