Should I trade Drew Brees and Steven Jackson for Peyton Manning and Brian Westbrook?

Is this a good trade considering Manning is still injured? Also since Steven Jackson’s holdout is over, he should be having a great year.

Peyton will not miss any playing time. He’s going after Favre’s record, having played in 160 straight. You’d have to cut his leg off to keep him off the field. Also, I’m not sold on Jackson. But, I am on Westbrook.

I would make the trade, but the wild card is Brees. He started out slow last year and then caught fire. Still, I would rather have Manning if I had the choice.

    no way.

Manning being hurt is only minor, even if he misses 1 or 2 games it wont matter. By the end of the season Payton will be the first or second best QB in the league. Payton Manning > Drew Brees

Steven Jackson and Brian Westbrook are about even. Steven Jackson had a horrible season last year and Brian Westbrook has been a stud for the past several years. Overall I believe Brian Westbrook has the slight nod.

So to give you a straight up answer to your question, you should definitely do this.

I’ll give it to ya like this………….

Drew Brees, 261.62 total fantasy points last year
Steven Jackson, 155.88 total fantasy points last year
    VS.
Peyton Manning, 288.60 total fantasy points last year
Brian Westbrook, 283.06 total fantasy points last year

    Now with all that said… here’s more…….

Steven Jackson is just now going back to camp to work out….so he isn’t in the shape he was last year yet…….And Manning is gonna start no matter what….plus he has found his other great WR’s since Harrison was out last year…. so he knows he has more weapons that he can trust with the ball……….Its a no-brainier….. Make the trade!!!!!

I would prefer Peyton and Westbrook. Peyton is the most consistent fantasy player and he never gets hurt. Steven Jackson is liable to get hurt and he is pretty equal to Brian Westbrook. You never know what Drew Brees is gonna do with the Saints.
