They got her because she is a far right wing nut job and will appeal to the base who aren’t all that crazy about McCain. And to the people who want to vote for a woman, any woman will do.
They want her to get all of Hillary’s vote thinking that they would only vote for a woman. They fail to realize that Democratic women actually have a brain.
In addition, they want her in to regain the far right, religious and NRA vote. These are far right groups that McCain is weak on. This part might work since these people only respond to Rush Limbaugh brain farts.
A poster below, Julie H, is repeating the erroneous republicant talking points as to tax increases. Obama’s policy that no one making under $250 K will see a tax increase. He is turning back the tax cuts that only these people saw in the Bush administration.

Palin is a beautiful example of McCain’s poor decision making. A 72 year old man running for President of the USA and picking a person with no experience in Federal government to be his running mate. A person that will be a heart beat away from the Presidency. You talk about poor choices.
That is a myth, the wealthiest 1% of the population pays 37% of the tax, and the top 10% of wage earners pay 68% of the tax. The bottom 50%, those below the median income level, pay just 3% of the taxes. The uber wealthy actually pay more federal tax under the Bush tax cuts.
