Center: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. All-time leading scorer. Was one of the game’s 3 best players at 38 and one of the 5 best when he was 40. That is unbelievable. Wilt Chamberlain, as great as he was in L.A., was better in Philly, and Shaquille O’Neal can’t knock Kareem out of the top spot.
Forward: James Worthy. Big Game James.
Forward: Jamaal Wilkes. Silk. No Elgin Baylor: He always choked, and did you notice that 33-game winning streak in ’71-’72 started the day he retired?
Guard: Magic Johnson. On the short list for greatest player ever.
Guard: Jerry West. Best shooter ever. Gail Goodrich and Michael Cooper were something else, too.
Head Coach: Pat Riley. Like him or not, he was something.
Keep in mind, this is only the L.A. version, not including players from the Minneapolis days. I don’t think George Mikan, Vern Mikkelsen, Jim Pollard or Slater Martin could make it, anyway — although Bud Grant turned out to be a pretty good football coach.
Am I missing anyone important? No? No.
I’m missing 24? No, Keith Erickson doesn’t make it.
Anybody who thinks Kobe was better than Jerry West needs to have his head examined. There’s a reason the man is known as Mr. Clutch. And Shaq at center over Kareem? Bartender, somebody call that guy a cab, he’s obviously had too much!

Not bad
i would put kobe at the shooting guard over jerry west but everything else looks great
Horrible.
Lol..
PG: Magic Johnson, obviously.
SG: Kobe Bryant is a better player then Jerry West.
SF: Elgin Baylor. How can you say Wilkes ?
PF: Probably James Worthy you got that one.
C: Kareem..
You didn’t put Kobe… something is wrong with you. Mr. Clutch has nothing over Bryant!!! He is probable the best Laker of all time and Arguably the best player of all time. Watch a game this decade man!
FYI. Pat was not a good coach, he put so much stress on the players. He had like an All-Star team.. du he’s going to win!!! I would so put Phil… and I’ll give you 10 reasons why.. or should I say X!!!!! The rest is okay too, but I would still put Elgin Baylor as SF even though him and Kobe will clash, for the ball!! I would also consider Shaq over Kareem, but for sure have him as 6th man!
GO LAKERS!!!
hey retard your missing kobe shaq
I didnt even read the other comments but i bet there biachin about Kobe not being on the list. And your list is flawless, those woulda been my choices.
u gotta put koobe in there over jerry west, shaq over worthy elgin baylor starting coach phil jackson he won like 11 championships
i would go with a tall line up
pg magic
sg kobe
sf worthy
pf karreem
c shaq
Can’t argue with this list.. much respect to every Laker…
This is a hard list, so many all timers and all the debates…
from Kobe, to Baylor, Shaq, Wilt, etc… any of those players could of been on the team as well…
Yo you missin 24 homie
