How long can Michael Jackson’s remains go without burial. It seems like it has been over a month, eh?

His family has already performed their duties and several autopsies have been completed. Is it typical for colored people to delay the burial for personal reasons? Maybe it is time to move on? Please school me on this – I mean no disrespect to the family at all. When does closure occur?

Technically speaking, it is possible for him to never be buried.

it’s actually been nearly 3 months. as long as they keep him refridgerated i think he’ll keep a while. His lack of burial has nothing to do with the color of his skin or his families and it is ignorant for you to suggest that. Since his death is now a high-profile murder investigation it would have taken longer to preform a thurough autopsy.

You can keep bodies in the freezer for a long time. It’s more of a religious thing to bury bodies quickly.

It has actually been six weeks.

I just hope they keep the casket closed. He will for sure have started to decompose by now. Just slightly but nonetheless. It really depends on the temp he has been kept at. Embalming does slow things down to about a year however change does happen. But since he did get examined, he has no internal organs to spoil.
