Will Ferrell was doing his rendition of Lynyrd Syknyrd’s “Free Bird” while dressed, along with his wife, like a 60s hippie. And there they were, all three of them, backing him up, along with Conan O’Brien, of course. I’m surprised none of the news reports of his last show mentioned this.
Yes, but I started to get emotional when he gave his final speech. What a classy guy! Can’t wait to see him in the future.
IMO, the only reason NBC is making him wait till Sept to host another show is because they don’t want him moving to another network and stealing viewers from Leno on the heels of the controversy and him gaining so much support. They hope the we will all forget about him being robbed by the time he comes back to TV, but WE WON’T FORGET>>>>> LUV U CONAN BUDDY!

Yeah, that was awesome. Ben Harper seems to be everywhere these days. Good for him, I like him. Cool to see the other guys too. I thought the whole end was hilarious, and a cool way to go out. Although I wish Conan would’ve sung.
It was mentioned during the week that Tom Hanks, Will Ferrell, & Neil Young as a musical guest were going to be on Conan O’Brien’s final show, but I was surprised to see that Ferrell wanted to see Conan go out in style, & he sure did.

I agree with the first poster that NBC KNOWS that in they are hoping we forget how Leno schemed his way back in his old familiar seat. I swear that guy is pathetic, as Rosie said, he fell off his water ski and is clinging to the tow rope, getting bashed by waves, ‘no one is cheering for you’ pathetically clinging to the tow rope that is the Tonight Show. He has no friends, no family, (just his wife) all he has going for him is the Tonight Show. He is pathetic and his fear, desperation and insecurity is showing.
No one can top the way Conan handled basically the end of his career (with NBC) his home for 20+ years. Jay f***ed him over and Leno’s name was not brought up once last night.
It was such a positive show and a classy way to go out.
