I’m only 30 years old, but I’m beginning to realize that if I had a ton of money it wouldn’t make me happy. I know for a fact that if I won the lottery I would probably forget about the important things in life and blow it on negative things (liquor, weed, women, etc). So I would rather never be rich!

nooooo i want to be rich ANDsmart!
If you kno wats wrong yuh wont do wrong things.rather you’ll go out find a respectable husband/wife
& make a family.
therefore starting a life!
If you think about it money does bring hapiness.
If you had no money, I wouldn’t be talking to you because you’d be out on the streets. With very little, close to nothing. I don’t think you’d be very happy.
Everyone is entitled to prosperity. Without it, you can’t be financial stable. It’s the way you use it that determines your lifestyle. If you choose it for living the life of debauchery, you very often get it. If not, then you are way ahead in being ethical and sensible.
Just a note, “The LOVE of money is the root of all evil.”
Lori it’s not the money that makes you happy it’s the ability to live your life as you see fit and to be able to contribute to the greater world that makes you happy. Look at how many rich people have serious problems or are using drugs or alcohol to make them self’s happy!!!!! What the problem is is that money doesn’t supply you with a reason for living and for contributing to the greater good. The people who are truly the happiest aren’t caught up with money, they have enough to live comfortably but by far the most important is that they have a reason for living.
YOU would spend it on liquor, weed and women and eventually be miserable but I would spend it differently and be happy. If I was wealthy then I could afford to go on vacation instead of work all the time just go make ends meet. It’s hard being on a cruise and being unhappy.
Money gives you the freedom to do whatever you want in life. What you do then is your choice. A wage earner, like me, is little better than a slave.
Had money, but a crappy marriage where my husband was ALWAYS gone. I was so lonely. Money DOES NOT buy happiness. You can only buy so many massages, pedicures, vacations. If you don’t have true intimacy in your life, none of it matters one bit.Now I have a husband who makes a fraction of what the other one did, but comes home every night. It makes all the difference.
Just that after buying things over and over again it starts to become repetitive and the person would start to question the reason for buying some things. But then again…if money wasn’t so important why were people getting so upset about being slaves?
No. I am 40, and money would make me very happy right now. It would surely help pay the mortgage, gas in the car, food shopping, water bill, and electric bill, and not to mention oil for the furnace. I would never blow money on negative things and give a sizeable amount to charity. If you win the lottery, just give it to me, I’ll make sure it gets put to good use.
