Remember who won that season?
It was Taylor Hicks. seriously… Where is he now?
In that season, there were also 2 other contestants whom were voted off early and never made it to the finale. Their names are Elliot Yamin, and Chris Daughtry.
According to sales, Hicks is doing the worst financially, with Elliot Yamin doing better than him, and Chris Daughtry having more than the combined album sales of the two other artists combined.
Of the three, Daughty was voted off first, then Yamin.
I have learned that the title “American Idol” means nothing. Ultimately, the uncorrupted people of America, whom buy albums and music will decide who really wins any season.
I have applied this theory into this season’s upset. I will wager Lambert does much better than Allen and Allen will just be another hick. (get the pun?)

Really, did you do ANY RESEARCH??? Album sales have nothing to do with Talent!
Taylor sold 298,000 his first week, and was certified Platinum. Have you seen how gorgeous he is lately,25 lbs slimmer and looks like George Clooney. He just starred on Broadway and in a National Tour of Grease, and is currently on a summer tour promoting his CD The Distance,on HIS OWN record company which means he makes all the money!!!. He owns his own career, which is more than I can say for Chris, who owns his soul to the record executives. Watch and see who is still performing ten years from now. Taylor Hicks is the real deal, and he is an overall LIVE entertainer, rather than just a rock band singer. American Idol promoted the rock singer, but America Got It RIGHT!
